SUSTAIN Cameroon is a not-for-profit organization working to improve on the welfare of vulnerable persons of all ages in the most under-served communities in the North West Region in particular and Cameroon in general.
We provide income-generating opportunities for widows, barren women, and orphans, while supporting continued education and training to help them break free from:
- Extreme poverty
- Human trafficking
- Early and forced marriages
- HIV/AIDS infection
- Other serious health and social risks
Who we are
SUSTAIN Cameroon was created in response to encouragement from those we serve. We are a grassroots organization powered by a team of passionate and committed staff, many of whom work on a voluntary basis. Our team draws from diverse backgrounds in education, health, and project management, combining their skills to deliver direct support and build long-term community capacity.
We focus especially on the socio-economic reintegration of vulnerable women and girls in rural areas.

Prevention of child early and forced marriages & sexual exploitation of Children
Child early and forced marriages (CEFM) and Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) are at the core of our organization’s work.
The escalating conflict in the North West & South West Cameroon, has heightened social strife and thus exacerbated child sexual exploitation with children on the move (COM) exponentially affected.

Economic Empowerment and Livelihoods
SUSTAIN Cameroon with the support of its partners and donors helps child brides, at-risk girls and poor families to become self-sufficient.
SUSTAIN Cameroon invests in hope by funding small business ventures that enable poor and marginalized families, young women, and those at-risk girls to become financially independent.
