You will find below a short introduction to our key members who make our work possible.

Etali Genesis Akwaji
Chief Executing Officer

Etali is the founder & CEO of the Association for Sustainable Development Livelihood Initiatives (SUSTAIN Cameroon) a children and women’s rights grassroots nonprofit organization. He is a Hilton Humanitarian Prize Laureate Virtual Leadership Institute Alum. He holds a BA in African Studies with an option in International Relations from the University of Dschang, West Region of Cameroon.Etali is also currently working with ECPAT Cameroon, an affiliate member of ECPAT International.
He has about 19+ years working with LNGOs, National and International CSOs, and INGOs, in community organizing, mobilization, development and humanitarian work. He has for the most part of his humanitarian experience been engaged in conceiving, designing and developing projects & programs, developing project budgets, project implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of projects and programs to promote and protect the rights of women and children.

Fanwi Seraphine Kakwi
Administrator & Head of Child Protection and Safeguarding

Fanwi is a social change worker, a scholar with Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize Laureate Virtual Leadership Institute (VLI). She is also trained and certified by the KCS global in understanding child safeguarding.

She has 10+ years in the non-profit sector working with women, girls and children in the communities and at the grassroots. She holds a BA in Bible and Theology which has enabled her to bridge the gap between social work and the local church.

Fanwi is also a certified inclusive special needs educator and a holder of the government teacher’s grade I certificate, CAPIEMP. She obtained her inclusive learning certificate from the Special Educational Needs Teacher’s Training Institute (SENTTI).

Fanwi worked as a research assistant with the Cameroon Baptist as well as The Dorey Method lmpact study.

She currently works as the head of Safeguarding and Child Protection for Sustain Cameroon. She is also the founder of Mercy Seed Outreach; a grassroots organization that seeks to promote the education and well being of underprivileged and sexually exploited girls in the trenches of everyday life.

Her qualities and skills in mainstreaming and inclusion strategies make her a perfect match to lead issues of child protection and safeguarding at the level of policies, advocacy and action.

Ekeng Glory Ngwanya
Business Development Officer

Glory holds a bachelor degree in International Development. She also has a certificate in Child Protection and education, child safeguarding and PSEA in pursuit of her passion in child protection activities.

She is passionate about humanitarian services especially in the area of children, girls and women. She is an adept and dedicated individual with a quest for personal growth, capacity building, continued education and development with the goal to enhance her contributions in the development and humanitarian domain. She has a deep passion to champion the business development component of our organization so successful.

NDE Saturius Ade Fru
Program Support Assistant

Saturius is a holder of a first degree in banking and in finance, and also has an HND in Banking and Finance. 

NDE Saturius has served in many capacities as a volunteer and an intern with some institutions and companies, holding accounting and stock records positions, marketing and promotions. He also worked as a sorting agent with the GCE Board.

He combines experiences working as a community development volunteer and administrative support staff, assisting in preparing records for the organization with his regular functions as a member of the senior management and leadership of the organization.

Joseph Nembo Nkemngu
Chief Legal Officer

Joseph holds a Masters in Negotiation and Peacebuilding and a Maitrise in Business Law. He also holds a Diploma in Theology.

Joseph is a legal expert, has a robust understanding of corporate law, and a dedication to growing, managing, and supervising a legal team including diverse legal resources that would enhance. He is leading the staff and team to develop and execute a comprehensive legal strategy to enhance access to justice for victims and survivors of sexual exploitation and abuse of children and children early and forced marriages. 

Joseph leads our organizational policy advocacy for the institutionalization of national mechanisms for preventing and tackling online child sexual exploitation and abuse (OCSEA).  He also assist in developing and leading legal strategy to promote and protect the organization, ensuring legal compliance across all organizational operations, providing expert advice on all legal issues, proactively managing risk for the organization, and facilitating strategic initiatives. He oversees delivery of legal services and resources to accomplish corporate goals, strategies and priorities for the organization.

Michael Pineda
Web developer and social media manager

Michael is the volunteer Web Developer and Social Media Manager for the organization. He builds and updates the website and also reviews the social media pages of the organization. He is the team lead, responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site, effectively communicating our programs and activities to followers, supporters, donors, networks and partners.  He stays plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and applies them into operations and activities.
