Our goal is to increase women’s economic empowerment and livelihood opportunities by creating and supporting efforts to help them generate and control their own incomes.
Women’s limited access and control over productive resources has almost if not perennially makes them vulnerable to all forms of exploitation and abuse.
We offer training in business practices, create revolving microcredit schemes and provide small startup capital for young women, at-risk girls and orphans and vulnerable children to inculcate a culture of wealth creation in their midst. This we hope will enable them to integrate into the society and also to confront barriers to their growth and well-being.
We work to increase women’s economic opportunities and decision-making power. This is an important factor to enable children from poor households and communities to be less exposed to exploitation and abuse. When women earn an income and control their earnings, their children are more likely to attend school, their families are healthier, their self-worth improves and their household incomes grow.
Our organization focuses on increasing women’s power, participation in decision making and influence by removing barriers to work, enabling decent work, and supporting women’s small enterprise development in order to help women and children (particularly girls) thrive. Through our organization, we look for ways to reach low-income women and child headed households, targeting women and children in very difficult to access and under-served communities.
