Our Vision

The vision of SUSTAIN Cameroon is to create a world where all children are safe from sexual exploitation and abuse, both offline and online. This includes preventing acts of abuse before they occur, as well as providing comprehensive support and resources for victims who have experienced abuse.

Challenges & Opportunities

One of the main challenges in preventing and responding to child sexual exploitation and abuse, especially online, is the constantly evolving nature of technology. Perpetrators are increasingly using new platforms and tools to target and exploit children, making it difficult for law enforcement and other stakeholders to keep up. Additionally, there is often a lack of awareness and understanding of this issue among the general public, which can hinder efforts to effectively address and prevent abuse.

One opportunity in addressing child sexual exploitation and abuse is the potential for technology to be used as a tool for prevention and intervention. For example, online platforms can be used to educate children and parents about the risks of online exploitation, as well as provide resources for reporting incidents of abuse. Additionally, technology can be used to track and identify perpetrators, making it easier for law enforcement to take action against those who seek to harm children.
